How hard is it to leave it all behind and live the life you imaged for yourself? The life that will bring you JOY, one that will expose you to new cultures, learnings and will force you to grow in ways you never imagined possible!

We found a way to get out of our comfort zones once again and explore the world.

We want to welcome you aboard JOY.

Sailing Joy.

We are Patricia and Ed. We live on a 46 feet Catamaran while exploring this planet by sea! When not at JOY we are off exploring the world using other means! We have been full time travelers since 2020.

Now neither of us are too technical and know how to fix things too much, super rich or ever won the lottery, but we always had big dreams and worked very hard to achieve them. What motivates us is the possibility to explore this awesome world and learn along the way, share our experiences here and on SAILINGJOY (YouTube, English) and on TRAVEL AND FUN ( YouTube, Brazil) be helped and help others along this Journey.

meet JOY

Learn everything there is to know about our home on the water. We selected her very carefully, after all she is our home for the years to come.

 

The voyage

We left Les Sables D’Ollones in France for the first time in July 2017 and sailed all the way to the USA. The first attempt to sail the world aboard a boat did not work out and the first JOY was sold after crossing the Atlantic late 2018.
In July 2021 we set sail again from the same place towards the Mediterranean Sea, now on a recently commissioned new Lagoon 46. Our new JOY took us safely across the Bay of Biscay, the entire coast of Spain and Portugal on the Atlantic side, entered the Gibraltar Canal and then sailed towards Ibiza then Valencia in Spain, where we decided to leave JOY in a Marina for the 2022 winter. The year of 2022 was packed with new adventures as we start the season early and crossed to Ibiza to start a new sailing adventure that took us all the way to the country of Montenegro by October 2022! In 2023 we decided to explore the country of Croatia for the entire season before we cross the Adriatic Sea towards Italy for the winter. We are getting ready now for our newest adventure and it will take us to Greece.
